UPDATED REGULATIONS FOR RECREATIONAL SCUBA DIVING IN MURCIA
Since 12th August, PADI Members and Dive Centres have witnessed amendments to recreational Scuba Diving regulations in the region of Murcia.
This change has come about with an aim to update the third transitory provision of decree 69/2001, from 28th September, and refers to accreditations necessary for practicing technical instruction and teaching in recreational Dive Centres in the region of Murcia.
After the Royal Decree 932/2010 was published and since its first derogation, the Buceador Monitor and the Buceador Instructor titles were revoked in the Presidential Decree 2055/1969, from 25th September.
Who will be able to practice Technical Management and Teaching in Recreational Dive Centres in the Murcia region?
Amongst others:
- Those with Assistant and Instructor ratings regulated by decree 2055/1969 on 25th September, or equivalents recognised or issued by other organisations or CC.AA. before the 1st September 2011.
- Those with valid certifications in Recreational scuba diving from entities recognised at a European level by the European Committee for Standardisation.
- UNE-EN 14153-3 Diver level 3 – (PADI Divemaster)
- UNE-EN 14413-1 Instructor level 1 – (PADI Assistant Instructor)
- UNE-EN 14413-2 Instructor level 2 – (PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor)
PADI Professional Members have been enjoying these recognitions since 2004.
The order of 6th August 2012.
With this update, PADI Members can continue working as usual in Dive Centres in the Murcia region.
